Minimum Odds and Bonus Rollover: Which Bets Count, and Why

A sports bonus has to be bet through a set number of times before it can be withdrawn, and only bets at or above a minimum price count. The minimum stops you clearing it on near-certain results. Here are the rules books publish, and what they cost.

Minimum odds and bonus rollover: the Sportbet.one, Dexsport and Thrill sportsbooks on a phone

Minimum odds at crypto sportsbooks

The minimum price each rule asks for, from the books' own terms and help pages.

Sportbet.one bonus
1.4012 times the bonus on sports, or 35 times in the casino
Dexsport deposit
1.30each deposit bet once on sports before it can be withdrawn
Thrill combos
1.30for the boosted payout on a multiple
Roobet Comboboost
1.50for every selection in the boosted multiple

Bets below the minimum still stand and still pay out. They just do not count towards the rollover or the boost.

Why bonus rollover comes with minimum odds

Without a minimum, a bonus would be almost free to clear.

The low-odds shortcut

At 1.05 a bet wins almost every time, so 12 times a bonus could be bet through with little risk. A minimum of 1.40 means each counted bet has a real chance of losing.

At 1.40 the price itself gives a result about a 71% chance (100 / 1.40).

Sports and casino count differently

Sportbet.one asks for 12 times the bonus on sports at 1.40 or more, or 35 times in the casino. Its rules count a qualifying sports bet at 300%, a slot spin at 100% and a table or live game at 5%.

The minimum does not change the cost

On average you lose the book's margin on every unit you bet, whatever the price. Higher odds only make your balance swing more.

What a bonus rollover costs at different margins

Sportbet.one's 125% bonus on a 100 USDT deposit needs 1,500 USDT of bets. The expected cost depends on the margin of the book you bet at.

  1. At 7.08%, Sportbet.oneabout 106 USDTits margin on Bayern v Arsenal
  2. At 5.20%about 78 USDTa mid-table margin on the same match
  3. At 3.67%about 55 USDTthe lowest margin on the same match

The bonus has to be bet where it was given, so the book's own margin is the one that counts. Check it with the betting margin calculator.

How to work out a bonus rollover in five steps

Do this before you accept any sports bonus.

  1. Step 1

    Find the multiple

12 times the bonus at Sportbet.one.

  2. Step 2

    Multiply

    125 USDT x 12 = 1,500 USDT of bets.

  3. Step 3

    Check the minimum odds

Only bets at 1.40 or more count there.

  4. Step 4

    Check the deadline

Sportbet.one gives 7 days once the bonus is active.

  5. Step 5

    Times the margin

    1,500 x 7.08% = about 106 USDT expected cost.

If the expected cost is close to the bonus, or the win cap is low, the bonus is worth little. Every offer is worked out on USDT betting bonus.

Bets that do not count towards rollover

Common ways a bet fails to move the rollover forward.

  • Below the minimum odds

    A 1.25 bet does nothing for a 1.40 rule.

  • Cashed-out bets

Dexsport's deposit rule does not count them.

  • Unsettled bets

A bet on next week's match counts only once it settles.

  • Void legs in a multiple

Cloudbet counts a void leg at odds of 1.0, which can pull a multiple's total price down.

  • Casino bets on a sports bonus

At Sportbet.one a slot spin counts a third as much as a qualifying sports bet.

Multiples have their own rules; see accumulator bets explained.
