Convert USDT to Cash: Every Step and Fee from Win to Bank
Sportsbooks pay out in USDT, not in pounds, euros or dollars. Turning it into cash means three steps outside the book: send it to an exchange, sell it, and withdraw to your bank. How you sell decides most of the cost.

How to convert USDT to cash in four steps
From a sportsbook balance to money in your bank account.
- Step 1
Open an exchange account
Pick one that buys USDT and pays out in your currency. Expect an ID check before you can withdraw.
- Step 2
Copy its USDT address
Choose the network the book will send on, then copy that network's deposit address.
- Step 3
Withdraw from the book
Paste the address, pick the same network and confirm.
- Step 4
Sell and withdraw
Sell USDT for your currency, then send it to your bank.
Do the exchange part first. An account that is still waiting for ID cannot withdraw, and your USDT sits there until it can.
Two ways to sell USDT for cash on an exchange
The same exchange can charge five times more depending on which button you press. Kraken's published fees:
- Instant sell
- 1%plus a spread Kraken may keep; one tap in the app
- Order book
- 0.20%Kraken Pro's USDT/USD fee from the first dollar
On 1,000 USDT that is $10 plus the spread, or $2. The order book takes a minute more: you choose the USDT/USD (or USDT/EUR) pair and place a sell order.
What it costs to convert USDT to cash: a 1,000 USDT example
The book's withdrawal fee plus the exchange's selling fee, before the spread and the bank withdrawal fee.
- Cloudbet on Tron, instant sell$13.193.19 USDT + 1%
- Stake, instant sell$11.001 USDT + 1%
- Stake, order book$3.001 USDT + 0.20%
- Cloudbet on BNB Chain, order book$2.000.0034 USDT + 0.20%
The cheapest route costs less than a sixth of the dearest one for the same 1,000 USDT. The book's fee per network is on USDT network fees.
Other ways to turn USDT into cash
An exchange is the usual route. These are the others, and what to watch.
- Peer-to-peer on an exchange
You sell USDT to another user who pays by bank transfer. Release the USDT only after the money is in your account.
- A crypto debit card
Spends USDT as local currency. Check the card's conversion fee first.
- A crypto ATM
Cash in hand, but ATMs show their own price. Compare it with the exchange rate.
- Swap to another coin first
Only if your exchange does not list USDT. Each swap adds a fee.
Mistakes that make cashing out USDT cost more
The common ones, and how to avoid each.
- The wrong network
The exchange must list the network the book sends on. See USDT sent on the wrong network.
- Many small withdrawals
A flat book fee of 1 USDT is 1% of 100 USDT but 10% of 10 USDT.
- Selling with the instant button
1% plus the spread at Kraken, against 0.20% on the order book.
- An exchange account without ID
The USDT arrives but cannot leave until you are verified.
- Forgetting tax
Winnings and gains may be taxable where you live. Keep your transaction IDs.
Sending to an exchange takes minutes on Tron; see how long USDT withdrawals take. The sportsbook's own processing time comes on top of the network part, and the books are ranked on it on fast USDT withdrawals.
